Japanese B1.1 Pre-Intermediate Course
Move Beyond Everyday Japanese and Communicate More Independently
The Japanese B1.1 Pre-Intermediate Course at Lingua Learn Cambodia is designed for learners who are ready to move from elementary Japanese towards true independent communication. If you have completed A2.2 or already possess an upper-elementary level of Japanese, this course will help you develop the confidence and language skills needed to participate in more meaningful conversations and understand a wider range of topics.
At the B1 level, learners begin to rely less on memorized phrases and more on their ability to express ideas, opinions, experiences, and plans using their own words. Through 30 hours of live online instruction, you will strengthen your communication skills while expanding your vocabulary, improving grammar accuracy, and developing greater fluency.
Whether you are studying from Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Battambang, Sihanoukville, Kampot, Takeo, or anywhere else in Cambodia, you can access high-quality Japanese language training from experienced instructors without leaving your home or workplace.
Why Study Japanese at the B1 Level?
Reaching the B1 level represents an important milestone in language learning. It demonstrates that you can communicate independently in many everyday situations and are becoming capable of handling more complex interactions in Japanese.
This level is particularly valuable for Cambodian students preparing for educational opportunities in Japan, professionals working with Japanese companies, and individuals seeking to improve their international career prospects.
As Japanese investment and business partnerships continue to play an important role in Cambodia’s economy, Japanese language skills can provide a competitive advantage in sectors such as manufacturing, logistics, tourism, hospitality, education, engineering, customer service, and international trade.

Professionals often study Japanese to strengthen communication with Japanese colleagues, clients, suppliers, or business partners. As economic ties between Cambodia and Japan continue to grow, language skills can open doors to new employment opportunities and career advancement.
